Give your apiary a strong start with our 5-Frame Deep Nucleus Colony, featuring a healthy Italian queen and an established, growing colony. Each nucleus colony (or "nuc") includes five deep frames containing a combination of brood in various stages, food stores, and hardworking bees that are already functioning together as a productive colony.
Because the bees have an established queen, brood, and comb, nucs typically develop more quickly than package bees, making them an excellent choice for both new and experienced beekeepers.
Each nucleus colony includes:
5 deep frames
A naturally mated Italian queen
Established brood in multiple stages
Honey and pollen stores
Drawn comb and a healthy population of worker bees
Our nucleus colonies are carefully inspected to ensure they are healthy, productive, and ready to be transferred into your hive.
